3-16. Hydraulic Oil Filter Service.
NOTE
Before servicing the oil filter the hydraulic oil tank must be drained to below the
level of the bottom of the filter. About ten gallons must be drained.
a. Remove.
(1) Unscrew and remove centerpost (10, fig. 3-26).
(2) Remove center post gasket (9).
(3) Remove cannister (8).
(4) Remove the following parts from cannister (8).
(a) Filter element (4).
(b) O-rings (3) and (5).
(c) Steel washer (6).
(d) Spring (7).
(5) Remove O-ring (2) from filter head (1).
