DRIVE BELT INSPECTION
(1) Open left engine door (para 2-14).
(2) Check drive belt for obvious damage.
(a) lf damaged, replace drive belt
(para 4-68).
(b) If drive belt is OK, check drive
belt deflection.
(3) Measure drive belt deflection at
longest span of belt. Maximum
deflection is 3/8 to l/2 inch (9.5 to
12.7 mm).
(a)
If drive belt is not within limits,
replace drive belt tensioner
(para 4-69).
(b) lf drive belt is within limits
indicates faulty fan hub.
