(2) Regulator test (shorted).
NOTE
Mount alternator on test stand, shaft rotating at 3000 rpm to perform this test.
(a)
Measure voltage at terminal A. Meter should indicate approximately 24 volts.
(b)
Increase rpm to 4000. If voltage at A increases beyond 25 volts, regulator is shorted.
Replace regulator.
NOTE
Follow-on Maintenance: Install alternator (para4-70).
