4-71. ALTERNATOR BRACKET REPLACEMENT.

Condition Description
Alternator removed.
Wrench, torque
a. Removal.
(1) Remove three screws (1) and alternator
bracket (2) from cylinder head (3).
(2) If damaged, remove bushing (4).
(3) Note position and remove screw (5) and
alternator brace (6).
b. Installation.
(1) Install alternator brace (6) with screw (5).
Tighten screw 216 lb-in (24 Nm).
(2) Install bushing (4) in alternator bracket (2).
(3) Install alternator bracket (2) on cylinder
head (3) with three screws (1). Tighten
screws 216 lb-in (24 Nm).
NOTE
Follow-on maintenance: Install alternator (para 4-70).
