Post signs that read ` O SMOKING WITHIN 50 FEET (15 m)" when working with open fuel, fuel

lines or fuel tanks.
Do not work on fuel system when engine is hot; fuel can be ignited by a hot engine.
THROTTLE CABLE
INSPECTION
(1) Open left engine door (para 2-14).
(2) Check throttle cable adjustment.
(a) If throttle cable is misadjusted,
adjust cable (para 4-57).
(b) If throttle cable is adjusted
properly, indicates clogged fuel
filter.
FUEL FILTER INSPECTION
(1) Open left engine door, (para 2-14).
(2) Check fuel filter for clogging or
damage.
(a) If fuel filter is clogged or
damaged, replace (pare 4-52).
(b) If fuel filter is OK, notify
supervisor.
