5-6 TROUBLESHOOTING SYMPTOMS.
The Direct and General Support Troubleshooting Symptom Index (Table 5-2) lists the most common malfunctions
found during operation of vehicle. Tests or inspections and corrective actions should be performed in the order listed.
This symptom index lists corrective actions that can be performed by direct and general support maintenance
personnel.

Table 5-2 contains the malfunctions listed in Direct and General Support Troubleshooting Symptom Index. Pages
5-12 through 5-101 contain test and inspection instructions required to determine the malfunction's cause and
corrective actions for repairing the faulty equipment. Operator and Unit Support Troubleshooting Procedures
(Tables 3-2 and 4-2) should be performed before Direct and General Support Troubleshooting Procedures.
