b. Cleaning/Inspection.
(1) Clean plugs and around drain holes on tar k.
(2) Inspect all threads for crossed or peeled condition.
(3) Replace damaged plugs.
(4) Dispose of drained fluids according to local regulations.
c.
Filling.
Sealant causes immediate bonding on
contact with eyes, skin, or clothing and also
gives off harmful vapors. Wear protective
goggles and use in well-ventilated area. If
adhesive gets in eyes, try to keep eyes open;
flush eyes with water for 15 minutes and
get immediate medical attention.
(1) After draining fuel tank:
(a) Apply pipe thread sealing compound to
plug (1) and install in fuel/hydraulic
tank (2).
(b) Fill fuel tank (2) according to
(2) After draining hydraulic tank:
(a) Apply pipe thread sealing compound to
plug (3), and install in fuel/hydraulic
tank (2).
(b) Fill hydraulic tank (2) according to
