FAN HUB INSPECTION
(1) Remove drive belt (para 4-68).
(2) Measure fan end play at position A.
(a) If measurement is greater than
0.006 inch (0.15 mm), replace fan
support.
(b) If fan hub is OK, indicates faulty
drive line components.
DRIVE LINE INSPECTION
(1) Start engine (para 2-9).
(2) Engage pump drive shaft and clutch
drive shaft (para 2-10).
(a) Check for excessive vibration
at drive shafts, replace/repair as
necessary (para 4-100, 4-101, and
4-102).
(b) If no obvious damage or
looseness, notify supervisor.
