Post signs that read `NO SMOKING WITHlN 50 FEET (15 m)' when working with open fuel, fuel
lines or fuel tanks.
Use caution when loosening intake fuel fittings. Fuel pressure is sufficient to penetrate skin and
cause severe injury.
FUEL INSPECTION
(1) Disconnect negative battery cable
(2) Set parking brake (para 2-13).
(3) Check sediment bowl for
contaminated fuel.
(a) If fuel is contaminated, drain and
flush fuel tank (pare 4-29).
(b) If fuel is OK, indicates throttle
speed too low.
(4) Connect negative battery cable
THROTTLE CABLE
INSPECTION
(1) Open left engine door (pare 2-14).
(2) Check throttle cable for loose or
damaged connections.
(a) if throttle cable is damaged,
replace, (para 4-56).
(b) lf throttle cable is out of
adjustment, adjust (pare 4-57).
(c) If throttle cable is OK, notify
supervisor.
