4. Thread the nuts on the studs. Then, starting with the
center nut and working alternately toward each end,
between the manifold and cylinder
tighten the manifold nuts to 30-35 Ib-ft (41-47 Nm)
block bosses which serve as a
support for the manifold when the
cylinder head is installed.
If the cylinder head was removed
from the engine, do not tighten the
manifold. Tighten the brass exhaust manifold outlet
manifold nuts until AFTER the head
flange nuts to 20-25 lb-ft (27-34 Nm) torque.
